According to the will of the majority of the playerbase and according to decisions I've come to as well, Accession is now officially closed.

The communities will remain open until the end of August for anyone who still wishes to continue or conclude ongoing threads, however, no further posting will be possible in either

irismessaging or

partyofthree. The OOC community as well as the meme community continue to be fair game until then, should you still want for some shenanigans.

Accession will reopen in December. Any and all current members can check in to reclaim their characters then.

On a more personal note? Thank you, all of you. For making this possible and taking it as far as it went, for your participation and your feedback and your love for this setting and this game. It's been fun - and this isn't the end.

Hi-ho, Hank here! (That guy what plays the lizard girl in Hermes.) With a new character, even!

This is Erk, from Fire Emblem. Sarcastic, uptight mage with low self-esteem. Has a tendency to get dragged into things against his will by loud, annoying clerics, but seeing as we don't have any of those yet the rest of the world's just going to have to pick up the "weird" slack.

He's coming in as a son of Athena. Yes, I know Cabin 6 is getting pretty crowded, but it seemed like the best fit - Erk trades on his brains and his skill, not on being some sort of prodigy at magic like you'd expect for one of, say, Hecate's kids. He's coming in with the powers of crafting skill, strategy, and divine wisdom (the last at very low grades and probably only going to operate on "I told you this was a bad idea" levels).

Activity Check

ϟ All players are required to have at least two (2) threads, posts or logs containing ten (10) comments each. Five (5) of these comments must have been made by the character checking in.

ϟ All comments must have been made between June 1st and June 30th to be counted toward AC.

ϟ Icon reaction chains only count as one (1) comment.

ϟ Activity must be posted between July 1st and July 7th.

ϟ If you cannot make activity for the current check, you have until July 7th to get sufficient activity. This counts as a strike and you can’t do this for two months in a row.

ϟ Characters who joined in the month of June only need one thread containing ten (10) comments, five (5) of which must be from them.

ϟ Characters who were accepted into the game after May 25th need only to leave a check-in comment.

Kite has two quick announcements for you today:

1: Aaron has been promoted from helper mod to full mod! All hail.

At the same time, however,

2: Justyne has decided to retire from her position as mod for health reasons. She'll still be helping us out on the NPC front, though, which I am immensely grateful for. I don't think I could Chiron or Apollo my way out of a paperbag.

Since the game's been shrinking, it seems like we'll be able to handle it with just the two of us for the time being. Aaaand that's all folks, that's the post. For questions, concerns, feedback, thanks, or welcome, feel free to comment below.

Hey, everyone! Sorry to have to do this, but I've decided it's best for me at this point to drop Maya from the game. All the players and threads and OOC discussion here have been fantastic so far and I've genuinely enjoyed my short time being in Accession! Ultimately, it's just me not feeling the game for her so much anymore after a week or so of hiatus and thinking on it that makes me do this.
