What I'm getting at is, It's time to plot for Capture the Flag!

To the uninitiated: There are two teams, each team gets a flag, both teams run into the forest. They each establish a base, and then go out to try to find the opposing camp to take their flag, while not having their own flag taken away. For this game, everyone will be given armor and whatever weapons they are most comfortable with - injuries are to be expected, but please do not intentionally maim or kill anybody.
Simple enough so far. Usually, alliances are formed between cabins to establish the teams, but at the moment, because we don't have that many claimed campers, the teams will be as follows:

The RED TEAM: Cabin 11
The BLUE TEAM: Everybody else.

So, if you'd like to get your character claimed before next Friday, they'll automatically be on the Blue Team... unless of course they're stuck in Hermes cabin forever.

The game takes place on Friday the 31st. It's a great opportunity for being badass, getting claimed, looking good standing on the sidelines, discovering powers, accidentally offending dryads, and all sorts of other fun things.

The victor will be decided via coin toss!

Minato, Fuu and Mariya

So apparently I'm a dick and my goal for this event is for Minato to slip up and get hurt. Not badly. I just follow the advice of my terrible friends "Tell me not to get Minato hurt at Capture the Flag." "Do it." Yeah.

So if anyone wants in on that, just drop me a line.

Meanwhile, I want the exact opposite for Fuu. I'd like to get her claimed by using her demigod healing powers! If anyone's willing to deal with that, tell me!

Also Mariya is going to be the most useless unless you walk into him and he tries to Charmspeak you out of the blue team's territory.

Even if Ryoji's going to be the one rescuing Minato, Minako has already sorta adopted Minato as twinzies in her mind so she's going to be harrassing him to make sure he's peachy after the injury. B|b

Squalo is getting claimed during capture the flag! There may be lightning. So, you might want to watch out for that.
While he's got a good mind for strategy if he actually sits down and thinks, he's been on killing-shit-withdrawal for so long that he may just tag team with Xanxus and tear shit up whereever he goes. RED TEAM has a great two-person army with just them, honestly. They're pretty badass.

Meanwhile Shinjiro on the BLUE TEAM is going to tag team with Aki and possibly Mitsuru? He's going to find out he has the most loose canon power a poseidon kid can have, that is, creating small-scale earthquakes and/or hurricanes. So if anyone's up for that, go go go. I don't think he'll care a great deal whether he's on the attack or the defense, so we can work out a decent strategy here, I'm sure. BUT YEAH have at?

And then there's Nicolas. Uhm. Well. Let me put it like this. He will be very good at this game. This is because it includes fighting, and not letting people sneak by you. If you can go unseen, it's all well and good, but I have one ex-mercenary son of Ares who is a force to be reckoned with. He's not going to kill anybody, though, don't worry.
May get sidetracked from any and all strategy though, if you give him a good fight!

Maya Matlin

Maya will be trying not to get hurt, and since she's figured out her best weapon is the bow she'll try to keep at range. And while normally Maya's relatively against harm... she'll happily shoot arrows at people right now because she's still pissy.

She'll spend the battle camping and sniping, if anyone wants to get shot by an arrow or three. Her plan is to keep a good distance between herself and anyone that isn't on her side, of course plans like that are doomed for failure. If you want to batter the poor girl drop me a line.

I do kinda want her to do enough that her dad sends her a musical instrument. Which means impressive shooting is kinda on the to-do list.

Both of my peeps are on Red Team so yes let's go.

DG has been claimed by Iris so Cabin 11 is basically home forever, and for her ~there's no place like home~ so her competitive dander will be up. She is pretty damn fast and can make rainbow-colored shields (and has something like super-hearing, ish). I do not have any specific plans for her so come at me! If she's given a choice of weapon it will be something spear or bo staff like since gal's pretty good at hitting things with sticks.

Fitz meanwhile is so very lost. He and physical activity are not friends, and he's not been claimed yet. He can make beer summon grape vines to do his bidding but he doesn't know this, and he can manipulate how people perceive him (note to self: make permissions post) but likewise this is not a conscious thing. Um. His adventures with the Doctor tend to leave him injured so if you need a punching bag he's your guy, to a degree? Come at me!

RED TEAM gets Ange, who will be doing...absolutely nothing and hoping you all capture the flag so she can go inside! :'D If you want to complain abou the angry, sullen lump wandering after you you totally should.

I am also planning for Ange to find out simultaneously about her ability to shadow travel and about her parent by having her get claimed! So if you want to find out she's a child of Hades that would also be fun *w*

I'm going to have Phibrizzo get claimed in the next couple of days, so expect him to play with his powers to mess with people during the game. Localized darkness manipulation around the a couple of people's faces? Yup. Maybe some geokinesis to trip people up, too.

Otherwise, he'll be using his small size to his advantage when he runs around and possibly tie people's shoelaces together if they're not paying attention.

Xanxus and Hotsuma

Okay, Hotsuma and Xanxus are both in this. Both adept fighters, I think I would like Hotsuma to get claimed here. Xanxus for sure, because this will be his first real letting loose fighting since he got here, don't see dad passing up on that release of rage. So there will be both of those to work with.

Xanxus and Squalo will run in a two man team unless Xanxus sees a strategy that makes it worth his while but the red team can't pass up letting these two do what they do right?

As for Hotsuma...Shusei is on the opposite team, this means he is going to have some serious struggles, they have always fought together. He will be in the game and is a strong fighter, but a few nudges from CR new or old would be awesome, to keep his head in the game.

Hello everyone! Ryoji here is playing for Team Red, and so far he is going to be really miserable about actually fighting people. No attacking anyone unless they try it first. He'd rather stick to the sidelines.

...Of course, if someone hurts his friends (/glares up at Minato's thread), someone is going to pay. Ryoji hasn't yet discovered his powers with shadow manipulation, so that may be a good opportunity for him to try it (and then freak out).

Other than that Minato fiasco, I'm up for anything!

Eikichi will be part of Red team and for the most part definitely acting as a tank, even if he hates sweating. Expect him to probably do something stupid and/or protect someone at the cost of his own injuries because that's how he rolls. He may get claimed by his father, Hades, during the game, but that wouldn't change his team, regardless.

Nanjo will be fighting for the Blue Team and will be taking this very seriously. He will attempt to take control of the situation, sprout Sun Tzu's finest, form ranks, plan a strategy, lead an attack party, the whole nine yards. He freakin' plays this to win.

It will also very probably be where he discovers he has the ability of Unbreakable Commands, so if you'd like to have your character do something in that regard, well, I would be more than happy to provide :3c

I've got Nicolas here on the Blue Team, who, while being a stellar fighter, is a tiny bit of a loose canon. As an Ares kid with no powers other than super human stats, and more fighting experience than probably anyone in camp, he's definitely an asset, but he's also deaf... so I am not sure how much use the commands will be unless he's currently looking and reading his lips.

HOWEVER he'd be a good bet for getting somebody hurt?

So this might be a good chance for Umi to get claimed. She'll be running around with a sword just sort of messing with people by being quick and clever.

Asami Sato

Asami will be doing her best to win while still having fun with everyone, so she probably won't be taking it as seriously as she could. If anyone feels like going one-on-one with her in trying to take her team's flag or defending their own, I'm all for it.

Minako has been hyping herself up for this Capture the Flag business since she'd first arrived on camp, and she's ready to kick some ass! She'll be on the front lines, happy to lead any Red Team-ers that aren't quite certain they want to be the first to face-off with the opposing team...if anyone wants to tag-team or be mates in battle, let me know!

That being said, Akihiko's mun and I have planned quite well in advance that the two are going to catch each other and have a pretty nasty skirmish that may or may not involve hair-pulling, stomach-kicking, and other unlady-like things. They might need more than one person in helping to pull them off of each other because damn, do they hate losing...

So this girl's just been claimed so that means she's on the Blue team. So she'll be most likely doing whatever she can except immediately get into a fight. But since she's water god's kid, there may be a chance she will either splash someone s a distraction or accidentally use her earthquake ability (whoops)

Soooo... I have no idea what to do with Ssil for this, apart from knowing she's on the Red team.

This would be a good time for her to discover some powers, but I'm honestly wavering on whether I want her to get claimed already or not. It definitely is a good time for her to meet people, so if you want to make friends or enemies with Ssil this would be an excellent chance.

It might also be a good time for her to get in trouble. You'd be amazed the sort of words one learns being a pirate... certainly words young ladies aren't supposed to know.

Hahaha, just by color, Aki should be on the Red Team... but he's not! So Blue Team it is!

He'll definitely be pumping up his teammates and getting them all into this. Training and stuff like that before the event... If anyone wants to plot something to that regard, or anything happening in the game itself, hit me up!

Question! When will the divided teams be announced to the characters? Like, when will they ICly know which team they are on?

DECIDING WINNERS

So the mighty coin toss has spoken, and BLUE TEAM will be the winners THIS TIME!!

That being said there are a few mighty play-by-plays that are wanting to be roleplayed out, and we'd like to get a non-castmate volunteer to be the sneaky-sneak to get the drop on Akihiko and Minako.

Akihiko, being the athletic superstar he is, is going to succeed at capturing the Red Team's flag. The only down-side is that Minako's going to tackle him en route back to his team's base, and they're going to get into something of a brawl. While friends will be trying to tear them apart, we need an opportunist from the Blue Team to pick up the flag at some point while they're busy feeding each other dirt and keep making their way to the Blue Team's base!

What happens to you after you steal it from the scene is up to you! Any takers?

Michelle is on the Blue Team, and she's a daughter of Athena which means battle and strategy are right up her alley. Since she's an archer, she'll mostly be covering blue backs and scaring red people by shooting arrows close to them as an OHHH NO YOU DON'T warning.

She'll probably also help make the battle plan and help newbies get in the game. Big sister and all.

Wow... late to the party. Um... I don't even know where Shusei would fit in all this, but regardless of cabin lines, Shusei is going to look for Hotsuma as soon as the battle starts.

But he WOULD help devise a strategy to help the BLUE TEAM since he IS one of Athena's brats so... is there anything the blue team needs doing?
