Because Akihiko is delightfully derpy sometimes.

Actually if I remember correctly, it was a talk with Junpei, Yukari, Fuuka and himself about how Ken drank tea to be adult-like and Akihiko mentioned booze would make more of an impact.

Another skit had the rest of the SEES team complaining their fridge had been completely taken over by Akihiko's protein drinks and cow legs. And another in the P3P Album mentioned that Akihiko was trying to put protein over Minako's pancakes (Shinjiro was really pissed).

Basically Arena was just a natrual evolution into the inevitable...

Really? I remember Ken mentioning that he drank coffee, but I didn’t see the tea part…

I’ve always wanted to see what Akihiko would be like drunk, though, so stop giving me ideas. XD

I have mixed feelings about Arena. I feel like they turned Akihiko into a one-trick pony, and I can’t even begin to play him being THAT obsessed with protein. And while I appreciate the fanservice, seriously? That cape? Good God.
